During the hot season, the temperature inside cement silos at mixing plants can reach 50–60°C, necessitating cooling measures. Currently, the most common approach is to wrap the silos with shade cloths to protect them from direct sunlight. However, due to the tall design of the silos, installing these cloths is challenging, and their fixation is often inadequate, resulting in limited shading effectiveness. Moreover, prolonged exposure to sunlight can degrade the shade cloths, diminishing their protective function and requiring frequent replacement. Additionally, when shading is not needed, the cloths must be removed, which is time‑consuming and labor‑intensive.

During the hot season, the temperature inside cement silos at mixing plants can reach 50–60°C, necessitating cooling measures. Currently, the most common approach is to wrap the silos with shade cloths to shield them from direct sunlight. However, due to the tall design of the silos, installing these cloths is challenging, and their fixation is often inadequate, resulting in limited shading effectiveness. Moreover, prolonged exposure to the sun can degrade the shade cloths, diminishing their protective function and requiring frequent replacement. Additionally, when shading is not needed, the cloths must be removed, which is time‑consuming and labor‑intensive. In response, the manufacturer turned to Terip (Guangzhou) Thermal & Cold Equipment Co., Ltd., whose custom‑designed water‑cooling system has effectively addressed the challenge of cooling cement silos at mixing plants.
