What Is a Heat Exchanger?
The plate heat exchanger(PHE) is stamped into a single plate with corrugated grooves of a certain regular shape from a thin metal plate (usually a steel plate or stainless steel plate), and then the single pieces are assembled into the required multi-piece group. On the edges of every two adjacent plates, materials such as nitrile rubber are used as sealing gaskets to form the channels of the medium flow grooves. There are fluid inlets and outlets on the plate, allowing the two media to flow and exchange heat in their respective launder channels. Due to the complex corrugated shape of the channel, although the medium flows at a low speed, turbulence will also be formed in the groove, which improves the heat exchange rate. At the same time, more grooves increase the heat exchange area, which is a fast and efficient heat exchange equipment.
Material Design and Selections

A certain number of flow plates, gaskets, top bar, roller assembly, fixed head, bottom bar, end support, tie bolts, nuts and frame foot make up the finished product of plate heat exchanger.

The unique structure of the shunt area can balance the fluid distribution; the sheet has a unique linear and planar positioning structure, which can reduce the possibility of misalignment between the sheets; the pores on the sheet have an "interlocking" structure for making the sheets interlock with each other. Large-angle ripples can improve the heat transfer coefficient while greatly reducing the resistance; the small-angle ripple design can reduce the degraded resistance with low heat transfer coefficient.

The sealing gasket is inserted and fixed on the grooved heat exchange plate, which is characterized by easy insertion and replacement of the sealing gasket. It can greatly reduce the downtime. Besides, as the sealing function is separated from the fixing function, even if some "fixtures" with fixed functions fail, the gasket can also explain the sealing function in the slot. The gasket has the advantages of reliable fluid separation, economy and easy installation. The integrated gasket clamp is also firmly fixed. And because the gasket can be fixed without tools, it is easy to replace.
