Jacketed heat exchanger，whose outer wall is jacketed, its structure is simple. However, its heating surface is restricted by the vessel wall, the heat transfer coefficient is not high.
When the jacket into the cooling water or no phase change in the heater, the jacket can also be set in the spiral spacer or other measures to increase turbulence to improve the jacket side of the heat transfer coefficient. Jacketed heat exchanger is widely used in the heating and cooling of the reaction process.
