Difference in working principle

Air source heat pump: Electricity drives the compressor to work, compressing the low temperature refrigerant into high temperature, which is exchanged with water through the heat exchanger, then depressurized by the expansion valve and absorbs heat from the air through the evaporator, the heat absorbing refrigerant is sucked in by the compressor, continuously absorbing heat from the air and exothermic in the hot water heat exchanger side to heat the cold water.

Air conditioner: Electricity-driven compressor works to compress the low-temperature refrigerant into high-temperature, which is dissipated by the evaporator and discharged to the outdoors by the fan of the air conditioner host. The heat is continuously discharged from the indoor to the outdoor air, absorbing heat from the indoor to reduce the indoor temperature.

Differences in parts and components

Air source heat pump: special compressor for heat pump, anti-freeze high-efficiency tank condenser, outdoor fin heat exchanger with hydrophilic membrane, and protection control such as system high pressure.

Air conditioner: air conditioner compressor, fin condenser or plate condenser, outdoor fin heat exchanger without hydrophilic membrane
