The Role of Chiller in Preform Production Line

In preform production, the chiller plays an important role in maintaining the stability of the production process. It is used to cool the mold and control the temperature of the preform to ensure the quality of the final product. The chiller works by using a refrigerant to absorb heat from the water flowing through the machine. This process of heat exchange allows the chiller to maintain a consistent temperature throughout the production process.

1. Types of Chillers Used in Preform Production Line

There are mainly two types of chillers used in preform production line – air-cooled chillers and water-cooled chillers. Air-cooled chillers are easier to install and maintain, but they are less energy-efficient than water-cooled chillers. Water-cooled chillers are more energy-efficient, but they require a constant supply of water for operation.

2. Advantages and Disadvantages of Chillers

Chillers have many advantages in preform production. They can help to maintain consistent quality, increase productivity, and reduce waste. However, they also have some disadvantages. They require a significant amount of energy to operate, and they can be expensive to purchase and maintain.
