Waste incineration is currently the main method of waste treatment, and the heat generated during incineration can be used for power generation to achieve recycling of energy, reduce emissions and meet environmental requirements.

The waste from the garbage will be burned into carbon dioxide and water, and the waste heat released can be used for power generation. Compared with landfills and composting, incineration requires less space, so it has become the mainstream of waste treatment.

As the incineration method will produce a large amount of waste heat, waste heat is secondary energy, mainly refers to the production process is released from the available thermal energy, according to the temperature can be divided into low temperature (100-200 ℃) available waste heat, medium temperature (200-500 ℃) available waste heat, high temperature (500 ℃ or more) available waste heat. The waste heat at the stack inlet of waste incineration plant around 150℃ belongs to low temperature waste heat, which can be used for low boiling point organic mass power generation by organic Rankine cycle can effectively recover low temperature waste heat, which has greater advantage in low grade heat utilization and can reduce the emission of carbon dioxide and nitrogen oxides.
