一、Turbine work depends on water pressure. It is believed that the cooling tower turbine must have a surplus head to apply. This is a misunderstanding.
For cooling towers that are in normal operation in compliance with national standards, the water flow into the tower must have the pressure of the cooling tower for spraying water. The water turbine can use this water pressure to perform the work of the water turbine normally. Don't ask for extra water pressure. Generally, the inlet water pressure of the cooling tower is at least 3 meters. Since the development of hydraulic turbine technology, 3 meters of water head can play the efficiency of the turbine well. Therefore, all cooling towers operated by the national standard can be replaced by hydraulic turbines, including newly equipped cooling towers.
二、The hydraulic turbine works by water pressure. The water pressure into the tower is used up, and after flowing through the turbine, the water pressure is no longer available and cannot be used for water distribution. This is a misunderstanding.
The work of the hydraulic turbine mainly has three energies. One is the kinetic energy of the water flow. The water entering the cooling tower, from entering the turbine to the water distributor, the flow rate of the water flow is unchanged, because no water flow is diverted out of the closed circulating water pipeline, no loss, kinetic energy is the product of mass and speed, The quality is the same and the speed is the same, so the kinetic energy is the same. In the turbine, the speed change is used to do work, but the tail water speed of the turbine is restored. The kinetic energy will not be lost in the whole process of the water flow, and it will be maintained until the inlet of the water distributor. The second is that there is no loss of potential energy. The turbine is positioned above the water distributor. Its inlet and outlet are in the same horizontal line. The potential energy is the product of height and mass. The height of the inlet and outlet water remains unchanged, so there is no loss of potential energy. Potential energy was used when entering the turbine and was reduced when exiting the turbine. The third is pressure energy. Pressure energy is the product of water pressure and water quality. If all the pressure energy is used up, there is still kinetic energy. There is also potential energy at the vertical height from the draft tube of the turbine to the water distributor. Enough energy to distribute water. However, it is impossible for the turbine to use all the heads.
