The air-conditioning system features a combination of circulating cooling water and forced cooling air to cool down the working area of the section tunnel. On the basis of traditional external circulation cooling and tunnel ventilation, our system is installed on the shield machine to cool the tunnel ventilation airflow, so that the cooling air is transported from secondary ventilation system to construction site.
After years of experiments and on-site monitor, our air outlet temperature can reach 20°C, which is 10-12°C lower than maximum temperature at normal conditions, effectively cooling the working area and improving the construction environment.
Customized according to the existing space of the shield machine, our unit and thermal insulation water tank are arranged on the first floor of the trolley. Positions of the main unit, water pump and water tank can be adjusted according to actual demands. Heat exchanger is placed on the second floor and connected in series with the air duct.
