Fin-tube air heat exchanger
| Product Details
It is primarily a heat-exchange device used to cool or heat air; by passing high‑temperature water, steam, or high‑temperature heat-transfer oil through it, the air can be heated, while brine or low‑temperature water can be used to cool the air. A finned tube is a ribbed surface, and many helical heat‑transfer surfaces or threaded tubes can also be regarded as finned tubes. They significantly increase the heat-transfer area and promote turbulence, playing an important role in both single‑phase convective heat transfer and phase-change convective heat transfer. The structure of a finned‑tube heat exchanger is essentially the same as that of a conventional shell-and-tube heat exchanger, except that finned tubes replace plain tubes as the heat‑transfer surface. Due to enhanced heat transfer and a more compact design, such heat exchangers can be configured as compact units.
1. Spiral-wound heat exchanger
- Features: compact structure, aesthetically pleasing appearance, easy installation, convenient management, and long-lasting durability.
- Material: carbon steel winding and stainless steel winding;

2. Plate-fin heat exchanger
- Features: Tight bonding, low thermal resistance, and excellent heat transfer; resistant to deformation under prolonged thermal cycling, ensuring a long service life.
- Material: Carbon steel‑aluminum laminates and copper‑aluminum laminates;

3. High-Frequency Welded Heat Exchanger
In high-frequency welded air radiators, the finned tubes are manufactured by helically winding steel strips around the fins and then using a high-frequency welding process to securely weld the fins to the tubes, ensuring the integrity of the tube–fin joint.
Bonding strength with the fins. Its key characteristics include: excellent heat transfer performance, high mechanical strength, resistance to thermal shock and mechanical vibration, favorable thermal expansion properties, a large heat dissipation surface area, long service life, a wide operating temperature range, and high pressure resistance.
Scope of Application
It is widely used in the petrochemical industry, power plants and plant retrofits, as well as in applications such as boilers, finned economizers, and air preheaters.
