By introducing the hot and humid air into our fin tube heat exchanger, we witness an indirect contact between hot air and cooling water. Air temperature thereby drop to a certain range, and waterdrop begins to form on the surface of fins. A blue fin design applies hydrophilic aluminum foil, which prevents the water from gathering, but instead, allows waterdrop to flow down to the bottom part of the heat exchanger, at which a water collector can be included.
As a result, the hot and humid air is condensated and comes out as dry and cool air.
