A certain number of flow plates, gaskets, top bar, roller assembly, fixed head, bottom bar, end support, tie bolts, nuts and frame foot make up the finished product of plate heat exchanger.
The gasket is used to seal the fluid in the plate and guide the cold and hot media to the appropriate flow channel. This prevents the fluids from mixing or leaking to the outside.
