A comprehensive petrochemical enterprise with an annual production capacity of 2 million tons of aromatics, which is one of the largest enterprises in China in terms of aromatics production. Taking into account its actual situation, after research and planning, it decided to adopt 95+ technology (ultra-clean and high-efficiency heating furnace waste heat recovery) in the flue gas waste heat recovery system of five heating furnaces in the aromatics combined unit.
After the project was put into operation, the thermal efficiency increased by 1.7%; the NOx emission concentration dropped from 100-80 mg/Nm3 to 80-50 mg/Nm3, which is much lower than the national standard. The thermal efficiency of the heating furnace reached 95.1%, sulfur dioxide and particulate matter achieved near zero emissions, saving more than 17 million cubic meters of fuel gas and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 32,000 tons per year compared to before the transformation, with considerable economic and social benefits.
The thermal efficiency of the heating furnace has been improved to 95%, and the energy consumption index of petrochemical aromatics heating furnace has been further reduced, which is at the leading level of similar units at home and abroad.
