HEAT EXCHANGE FOR PALM OIL PRODUCTION

Production of palm oil involves series of heating and cooling which are crucial for treatments such as degumming, de-acidified/neutralized, deodorized, and decolorized process.

 

 

Tranp Energy suggests different heat exchangers such as plate type and tube type, for respective purposes.

1) plate type with sealing gasket: most efficient and cost-saving to deal with temperature below 100°C and pressure below 1.6Mpa.

Degumming crude oil preheater, degummed oil cooler;

2) plate type with weld seal: efficient but costly to deal with higher temperature and pressure while keeping mininal floor space.

Decolorized oil preheater, deodorized oil cooler;

3) plate type with spiral structure: less efficient but economic to cope with high viscous fluids or with impurities.

Degummed oil heater, de-acidified oil cooler;

4) tube type with fin structure: less efficient but economic for process stream heat recovery.

Waste gas cooler, wastewater cooler, exhaust oil cooler.

Edible oil deodorized process(plate type with weld seal)

1) Decolorized oil preheater 1

Cold side: Decolorized oil, 110/175℃

Hot side: Deodorized oil, 190/125℃

 

2) Decolorized oil preheater 2

Cold side: Decolorized oil, 175/225℃

Hot side: Deodorized oil, 240/190℃.
