Spiral plate heat exchangers are generally divided into two types: detachable and non-detachable. Among them, the non-detachable structure is relatively simple, that is, all the two ends of the spiral channel are welded, so that it is non-detachable.
The structural difference between the detachable spiral plate heat exchanger and the non-detachable type is that the two ends of the spiral channel are sealed instead of welded. As for the other parts, it is exactly the same. In terms of sealing, it is generally sealed with a flat cover and a gasket. In addition, in order to improve the pressure bearing capacity of the spiral slabs, spaced columns are used to support the slabs.
Structural performance of spiral plate heat exchanger
(1) Its two spiral channels are rolled by two metal plates respectively, so the heat transfer medium can flow in full countercurrent in it to greatly enhance the heat exchange effect. Even if the temperature difference of the medium is small, it will not affect the heat exchange effect.
(2) The connecting pipe on the heat exchanger shell generally adopts a tangential structure, because in this case, there can be less local resistance, and at the same time, the flow rate can be appropriately increased to enhance the heat transfer capacity of the heat exchanger.
(3) If the use of one spiral plate heat exchanger cannot meet the requirements of use, then multiple units can be used at the same time. In terms of combination form, it can be combined in series or in parallel, but it should be noted that the equipment and channel spacing must be consistent. In addition, it can also be a mixed combination, that is, one channel is connected in parallel and one channel is connected in series.
